Annually and like clockwork, on the eve of the official start of Lunar New Year, an avid crew of pyrotechnicians from all over descend upon San Francisco linking up with Chinatown's finest fireworks squad and put on an absolute show like no other. Although never advertised, onlookers roll up in droves and by midnight, hundreds have shut down intersections to watch and ring in another year with the proverbial bang Bang BANG over and over and over.
